Veterinary and Health Requirements

At Rauceby Cattery, your cat’s health and wellbeing are our top priority. We take great care to provide a safe, clean and calm environment so every guest can enjoy a comfortable and stress-free stay.

All cats must be fully up to date with their vaccinations, and male cats over six months old must be neutered. These requirements help protect the health of all cats staying with us.

We are happy to administer medication, including injections, and will carefully follow your cat’s usual routine. Please ensure enough medication is provided for the full stay, plus a little extra in case collection is delayed.

Every cat is closely monitored during their stay. If your cat becomes unwell while with us, we will contact you immediately via WhatsApp or email and arrange veterinary care if required. Wherever possible, we will take your cat to their usual veterinary practice. If the distance is too great, we will use our trusted local vets, Priory Vets in Bourne, who we have worked with for many years.

Where possible, we recommend informing your vet before your holiday that Rauceby Cattery has permission to seek treatment for your cat if necessary, as many veterinary practices require the owner’s consent.

Our high standards of hygiene, regular observation, and gentle interaction help ensure every cat remains healthy, relaxed, and well cared for throughout their stay.

Please can you remove all collars before your cat’s holiday with us.

Vaccination cards must be brought on every visit and please ensure flea and worm treatments are up to date.

Thank you.

“Love Rauceby cattery, I boarded my 12 year old bengal girl recently while on holiday. She was so well looked after by Linda with much love and care – special thanks for keeping in touch and sending photos throughout the time I was away. The cattery is very clean, and the cat houses are spacious.”

“Linda loves cats and I feel totally confident and happy when I leave Archie in her expert care. She cares. Truly cares. The cattery is immaculately clean and Archie comes home happy and well cared for. The best cattery we’ve ever found. Highly recommend.”
